ELEMENTARY flavour 6 aired its finale concluding night on CBS in America. Here's what happened at the end of the series.

Elementary flavor 6 finished final night on CBS.

The series wrapped up with a motion that will make die-difficult Sherlock Holmes fans happy, with both Holmes (played by Jonny Lee Miller) and Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) forced to work in London and living in 221A Baker Street.

Michael broke in, and Joan stabbed him with a rotor bract of the helicopter.

The adjacent day, Michael'south trunk was found in the rubbish dump, and the FBI asked Joan to surrender herself to them as prime murder witness.

According to an interview showrunner Rob Doherty had with Television Line, the death of Michael was ever planned to exist in the penultimate episode of flavor six.

He said: "I liked the surprise of information technology — that, in fact, Michael is not going to be the final problem.

"It'south the fallout of that, information technology's the fact that Michael died, and it's bringing all sorts of unwanted attending to Sherlock and Joan, and putting everything they exercise in jeopardy."

The fact that Hannah was eventually revealed to be his truthful killer happened because, "Forensically, Hannah made sense. There could be some good forensic confusion that would seem to implicate Joan.

"And then in one case we knew we were killing Michael, and we wanted Joan to take the fall, Hannah was actually the only and best pick for u.s.a.."

As for why the flavor ends in London, Doherty said: "We felt it was canonically appropriate, for lack of a meliorate term.

"Nosotros really liked the thought of taking our Holmes and our Watson, and putting them where, really, a Holmes and a Watson belong — bring them home, so to speak."

He also revealed that, "nosotros will absolutely be in England as the seventh season begins," making the flavour a good stopgap for all the fans waiting for an announcement about season five of the other Sherlock Holmes bear witness, BBC's Sherlock.
