Can I transfer Amazon Pay balance: Money to bank?

Currently it isn't possible to transfer funds from your Amazon Pay balance: Money to a bank account or a different Amazon Pay balance account.

How do I set up Amazon Pay UPI?

You can set up Amazon Pay UPI through your Amazon.in app. You can set up Amazon Pay UPI to make UPI transactions by registering for UPI through the Amazon.in app. UPI services on Amazon.in app are provided in association with Axis Bank Limited.

  1. From your Amazon.in app, go to Amazon Pay dashboard and tap Amazon Pay UPI.
  2. Choose the SIM card / mobile number associated with your bank account if you have multiple SIMs in your phone and tap Verify your mobile number.
  3. Post verification of your mobile number, choose your bank from the list and follow the on-screen instructions.

Note:

  • Ensure that the mobile number in use is the same as the mobile number registered with your Savings bank account.
  • You might need to allow Amazon to send an SMS and read it to verify your mobile number.
  • Only a domestic Savings bank account is supported.
  • You can have multiple UPI IDs linked to the same bank account.

    • UPI option on the payment selection page while placing an order

Can Amazon Pay balance be used along with Amazon Pay UPI?

Yes, you can use Amazon Pay balance along with Amazon Pay UPI ID.

Why am I not able to add Amazon Pay balance: Money?

Please check the following:

  • The name on your account must not have numbers or special characters in it.
  • Your account should have a mobile number and an Official ID added to it. Check the same from your Account Settings
  • It could also be that your Full KYC is pending. If this is the reason, you will be prompted to complete Full KYC.

    If none of the above is an issue, then you might have reached your monthly load limit. View your updated limit from the Add Money option

Why am I not able to Spend Amazon Pay balance: Money?

Please check the following:

  • You might've reached your monthly spend limit of Rs.10000. In that case, you will be able to use your remaining balance next month. Complete KYC to remove this limit.
  • Your cart might consist any one of the restricted items, which include gift cards, precious jewelry or any item from the global store.

Where do I check my Amazon Pay balance transactions?

All Amazon Pay balance transactions can be tracked from the View Statement option.

Where can I change the Auto Reload settings?

To activate or deactivate, go to the Auto Reload option and follow the on screen instructions.

What is Amazon Pay balance?

Amazon Pay balance is a digital payment solution enabled by Amazon Pay (India) Private Limited using which you can make online transactions on Amazon.in and our partner websites & apps .

Balance consists of two different components which are Money and Gifts & Credits. Therefore, total Amazon Pay balance= Money + Gifts & Credits.

Money stores all the balance that you add yourself to Amazon Pay balance, where as Gifts and Credits stores your Gift Card balance and any cashbacks or refunds that are issued to you. You can always view the amount break down from your Statement.

How do I load Amazon Pay balance: Money?

  • You can top up your Amazon Pay balance: Money using a credit/debit card issued in India
  • Through net banking and Amazon Pay UPI.

Are there any limitations in usage?

After an official ID is added to your Amazon Pay balance: Money account, you will be able to start using Amazon Pay balance: Money. The monthly Load limit will be capped at Rs.10,000. If full KYC is done on your account, then the monthly load limit will be capped at Rs. 5 Lakhs as per our policy. However at any point in time, your available balance cannot be more than Rs. 1 lakh. If you are loading Amazon Pay balance: Money (Min KYC account) at your doorstep through cash load and don't have a full KYC on your account, the total annual cash load limit is capped at Rs.49000. Once Full KYC is done on your account, the total monthly cash load is capped at Rs.4000.

How much time does it take for balance to load?

Typically a top up gets credited instantly, however in some cases it can extend up to 15 minutes.

If you are loading Amazon Pay balance: Money at doorstep through cash load, then the amount will be credited to your account in 4-5 minutes. However, in exceptional scenarios, this may go up to 6 hours.

Are there any usage charges?

No, there are no charges involved in topping up Amazon Pay balance: Money.

Where can Amazon Pay balance be used?

Amazon Pay balance can be used to buy anything from over 3 crore products on Amazon.in and partner websites & apps except for Amazon Global Store items, Amazon.in Gift Cards and precious jewelry.

Does Amazon Pay balance: Money expire?

There is no validity period for Amazon Pay balance: Money, however Amazon may choose to impose a validity period as and when required and mandated by the regulator. You shall receive periodic reminders before this happens on your email and mobile. Please check our terms and conditions for more details.

Can I set up a spend limit?

Yes, you can set up a limit on the amount that you can spend from your Money in Amazon Pay balance. This can be done in two ways:

  • Set up a limit on the amount you can spend per transaction.
  • Set up a limit on the number of transactions you can make per day.

Note:

  • This limit cannot exceed your default monthly spend limit which is Rs.10000 if you have a Min KYC account.
  • This limit cannot be applied on the 'Gifts and Credits' component of your Amazon Pay balance.

How will I get a refund on transactions made through Amazon Pay balance?

Refund will be processed back to the original payment method, which in this case is Amazon Pay balance. If a transaction was partially paid through Credit card, then the refund will be processed to credit card and Amazon Pay balance respectively.

How do I update my account details?

You can update your account details from Account Settings.

Is it mandatory to update an official ID number in order to add Amazon Pay balance: Money?

As this is an RBI mandate, you should update an official ID number to your Amazon Pay balance: Money account in order to add money. However, you can continue using Gifts and Credits component without updating this information. You will also be able to use existing Amazon Pay balance: Money if any.

Is it safe to add my official ID on Amazon?

Your official ID details are stored on a secure, dedicated database and access to the data is restricted. In addition, our secure server software encrypts all of your personal information so that it cannot be read as the original text sent to us.

Where can I find the 4 digit confirmation code that the delivery agent is asking me in order to process a cash load?

The delivery agent would need this information when an official ID is not updated on your account yet. In such cases, go to www.amazon.in/OVD and update the information in order to receive the code. If you have already added your official ID earlier, but the delivery associate is asking you for the 4-digit confirmation code, then please go to the Account Settings.
